Why Brett Got Involved
“Cancer is a battle that everyone has encountered in life – a friend, family member or even personally – and I am no different. I have had friends and family who have fought battles against cancer and won, and I also know many who have lost,” Brett Bauman CEO of Planetguide and NewOrleansLocal.com.
Born and Raised in New Orleans…Brett is the President and CEO of Planetguide.com which is an interactive multimedia firm that utilizes the technologies of the 21st Century to make it one of Louisiana’s leading online marketing firms. Brett studied Marine Biology at Nicoll’s State University and then finished his education at the University of New Orleans in Marketing, where he founded Planetguide as a class project. Because Brett strongly believes in his home town of New Orleans, he has donated a lot of his time to many charitable organizations some of which include the Sean Payton’s Play it Forward Foundation, Key to the Cure, Shots for Tots, SPCA, Ballet Association, Cancer Crusaders, Opera Association, Raintree Children’s Services, St. Elizabeth’s, and the Young Professional’s Society. When Brett is not working with clients or charities, he enjoys some exciting hobbies that include Spear Fishing, Boating, Scuba Diving, and Motorcycling. Brett’s life was completed when he married his wife, Cheryl, and his greatest accomplishment is his 6 year old daughter, Darcy.
